Commemorating the 15th anniversary of the best selling Umphrey's McGee album of all time, UM presents an expanded edition of the fan favorite Anchor Drops, including the first ever vinyl pressing. The release features two distinct versions of the record, a remastered version of the original mix and a completely remixed version from the original master tapes. The 2004 Anchor Drops was the first album recorded with drummer Kris Myers, marking a sonic transformation for UM.

As every studio album following Anchor Drops has been made its way to vinyl, this first edition pressing is guaranteed to be a sought after collectible from the rabid UM fan base. The vinyl edition features 4 LPs containing both mixes, including MP3 downloads, and a 16-page booklet featuring handwritten lyrics, stunning NASA imagery, and a slew of studio & never-before-seen band photos. The OG LPs are classic black while the remixed edition is pressed on cloudy four-color, heavy splatter vinyl that mirrors the colors of Lake Michigan from the cover. The fresh coat of paint on the Redux edition is also available as a double CD set including the booklet.

I'm a hardcore UM fan that owns nearly everything you've released and have attended over a dozen performances. I pre-ordered the 2 CD Anchor Drops. When it arrived I was pleased with the remastered Redux CD but bummed out that the other CD was the original recording and not music that hadn't already been released. I've owned the original recording of Anchor Drops and didn't need a duplicate. I was hoping there would be out takes and alternative versions of the songs, etc. And there is another problem. The clear plastic surrounding the Redux CD also arrived damaged. The CD was okay but it's a bummer to receive a new CD set in damaged condition.
