Of the people, by the people, for the people…
You’ve cast your ballots, we’ve counted the votes and the Class of 2015 is in. The annual Hall of Fame series features the best of best of the year as determined by the UM faithful. We’ve taken your top picks and turned them into a two-set show that encapsulates the essence of live UM: raw, energetic and inspired. Heavy on improvisation and stylistically diverse, it’s what you’ve come to expect from Umphrey’s McGee.

Nearly four hours of music have been meticulously stitched together to deliver you a new listening experience. This year’s offering features classic UM staples alongside a stand out cover of Floyd’s “Shine On You Crazy Diamond" as well as an appearance by Mad Dog’s Filthy Little Secret Horns. Hall of Fame: Class of 2015 is available in a smattering of digital formats but what your mom wants you to buy is the double 180-gram, three color splattered LPs. The vinyl features the “best of the best” and also includes an MP3 download of the 4 hour “show.”

Great disks capturing the essence of 2015. Love the way the songs are blended making it seemless in continuation like it's one concert. Umphrey's rocks as usual!!

I was very disappointed by this release, and it diminishes my love for the band a bit. With this release, they seem to me to be out for a profit and not to give their fans the best UM that money can buy. This is not reviewing the music, which to me, is top-notch, but the packaging. I spent around $30 US for these 4 discs, and what did I get? Two cardboard covers, which could hold 3 CDs each, with 2 CDs in each one. As the whole set will fit onto 3 discs, it makes me wonder why they didn't put all the music on 3 discs and just send along a single case? You opted for cardboard covers which is better for the environment, which is great, then you send two, which was totally unnecessary! Plus, there was NO information except for the track listing and a cover picture. Why did I spend so much money (and believe me, $30 is a lot of money) for so little when I could have just paid for the download? I didn't buy the DL as I thought I was going to get something worthy of my dollars, i.e. maybe an insert with more pictures and commentary. To add insult to injury, the covers I got were both the same. Same picture, same info on the back. It was for discs 1 & 2. 3 & 4 may have looked different, but I don't know. Pretty cheap, UM. Not a very good way to treat your fans. A disgruntled fan- Gary
